Isthmus Veterinary Care

Took care of ripley very well

I have held off doing this review. I brought my cat to Isthmus a year ago and she was vaccinated…with what is my question. She was perfectly happy and healthy until she received her “vaccine.” I was also given false information about her teeth. She began hiding under my bed all day, she would no longer great me when I walked into the house and I would have to put her food and water bowls by the bed. She would crawl to the bowls where she would eat and drink laying down. WHAT DID YOU ALL GIVE MY CAT??? I took her to UW where they discovered her teeth were perfectly fine and that the medicine given to her may have been harmful to her. Over the course of a year I have watched her health continue to decline and she has lost a ton lot of weight. Today, I take her to the vet because she is extremely weak and I’m worried that I’m about to lose her. She has not been the same since her visit and I regret ever bringing her in. I see the 5 star reviews, but I also see the 1 star reviews mostly pertain to cats. Im sure Isthmus will reply to this review with smug remarks as I have seen on other reviews, but if you love your cat I would reconsider bringing them here or question every single thing they are doing and every medication they will inject into your cat. Are there different vaccines and dosages depending on the cat? Find out what they are using before you allow them to stick your cat, not just Isthmus, but any vet. We seem to out our trust in people who make mistakes without question. Do your research! Me not doing my research is costing my girl her life.

Great people, great care, great explanations about my dog's health and my options. And a bill that made sense and seemed reasonable!

Quick service, great with the animals and clean office inside and out.
